One of the perks of being married to a fashion blogger is that you get invited to fashion shows as Taipei Style. The challenge of this kind of events is that the models on the catwalk follow always the same path, and the pictures tend to look pretty much the same.
In this case, I tried to take advantage of that limitation, by highlighting the light on the models against the absolute black of the background. Catching the different expressions of the girls make also every unique, despite the similar composition. I also played with the focus and the exposure to bring movement to some of the pictures.
This time I used my Fuji x100s with no tripod. In the edition, I mainly highlighted the models by selectively reducing the exposure in the background, and also increased the clarity, to enhance the textures of the different clothes and the skin of the girls.
One of the best things of these catwalks is that the environment is perfect in terms of light, and the room lighting already focus all the attention in the models. Plus it ‘s a lot of fun to assist to a fashion show 🙂
